Kindergarten Programme-

The Kindergarten Programme inculcates in children the qualities of curiosity, exploration and discovery in a fun-filled, safe and happy learning environment. An individualized approach helps nurture a love of learning; develop social skills, and instil moral values. The emphasis is on developing in students, self-confidence and the ability to effectively communicate in English as well as in their mother tongue; teachers ensure this through effective use of language and by encouraging children to express themselves freely. A well-balanced curriculum and theme-based instruction help the young minds integrate their learning smoothly. The emphasis is on exploring, knowing, understanding and forming their own ideas. The principles of learning applied in Kindergarten include Holistic Development and Learning (Aesthetics and Creative Expression, Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Self and Social Awareness); Integrated Learning; Active Learning; Supportive Learning; Interactive Learning and Learning through Play. The curriculum prepares children for a smooth transition to a more formal Primary curriculum. The Kindergarten Programme makes use of a range of individual and group activities which create a lively and positive learning environment. Games, songs, creative projects, story-telling, role-playing, drawing and painting help develop children's foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. They are encouraged to play, explore and discover through dance, music, art and craft. Singing, rhyming and reciting are employed in the Language Arts, and the Phonics Programme. The use of manipulative, pictures and symbols helps them identify relationships between sets and groups of things to be sorted, counted, shared and represented. Sports and interactions with sports teachers help in strengthening coordination and motor skills, and instil enthusiasm for sports. Picnics and field trips enhance students' understanding of their surroundings. Celebration of festivals sensitizes them to multiple traditions and cultures.

Primary School Programme (I - V)-

The Primary School Programme encourages inquiry and exploration, and develops children's competence in various skills- reading, writing, listening, speaking, problem-solving, observation, measurement and use of information and communications technology. The wide range of curricular and co-curricular opportunities offered helps instil in children confidence and discipline. The focus on developing communication skills helps them appreciate the value of education, as it reflects in their ability to express themselves, in addition to developing pragmatic skills.

Secondary School Programme (VI - X)-

The Secondary School Programme is structured to meet children's varied intellectual and developmental needs. The curriculum builds on concepts and skills learnt in the Primary School. It ensures progression and continuity across various stages of learning in the school, and incorporates continuous evaluation and review of children's performance. The main aims of the Programme are developing skills related to writing, reading, reflecting, critical thinking, public speaking, fostering initiative among students and a desire to acquire knowledge.

Learning Materials

Educomp Smart Class

Educomp Smart class did what no one had ever thought of before that is to bring technology into the classroom. It brought an exhaustive repository of world class digital modules or lessons, (consisting of 2D and 3D animations, graphics, audio and video) on every subject in the K12 spectrum, which the teacher could easily access and project in the classroom that illuminated and explained abstract and difficult concepts with liquid clarity. The result was amazing. Knowledge flourished freed from the centuries old bonds of books and chalk and blackboard. A new light of understanding dawned on young awakened minds. The classroom has become a fascinating place to be in as a new generation of learners seen (instead of just being told and explained) for the first time of how things happened. Educomp Smart class has proven to be very effective in the following:

  • - Improves teacher effectiveness and productivity in class.

  • - It brings abstract and difficult curriculum concepts to life inside classrooms.

  • - Makes learning an enjoyable experience for students.

  • - Improves academic performance of students.

  • - Enables instant formative assessment of learning outcomes in class.

  • - It also enables teachers to instantly assess and evaluate the learning achieved by their students in class.

Academic Management

Academic Management:

In Prodigy Public School, it is understood that all students deserve the best possible chance of success.
The stakeholders who have the greatest impact on a student's educational and personal development - school administrators, teachers, parents and the students themselves can collaborate and share information easily as a part of normal day-to-day activity.

Integrated teaching and learning:

Curriculum planning, lesson planning, compliance and quality management are streamlined across to help improve student outcomes and administrative workflows.

Enable effective communication:

Implementation of effective school-wide communication is achieved through regulatory reporting, student profiling and other school activity management capabilities.

Academic Monitoring:

There is a process of observing students' academic progress in one or more subjects over a period of time. It is used by teachers to compare the performance of a particular student to that of his/her classmates and to identify students who are struggling, excelling, or underachieving. Information for examining students' progress is usually collected in the form of test marks and teacher assessment levels or grades. These are often recorded on progress reports which can then be issued to parents at intervals during the academic year.

Usual practice is for these documents to be completed three times annually in order to illustrate a student's level of achievement at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year.

The same documentation is also used on a whole-school level by the senior leadership team, in order to assess the success of intervention strategies, and also to monitor the effectiveness of teaching across all subjects.

Academic monitoring is useful to pupils because it allows them to become aware of their examination prospects and any disparity between their current and predicted performance.
